An old man lives with his three sons in a village.

Once upon a time, there was an old man who lived in a village with his three sons.

The sons work hard but fight with each other every day.

These sons were hard workers, but they always fought with each other. The old man tried to bring them together, but he failed.

The father becomes sick and wants to teach unity.

As time passed, the old man became sick. He knew he didn’t have much time left, so he wanted to teach his sons an important lesson about unity.

The father gives each son a bundle of sticks to break.

He asked them to gather around and said, “I will give each of you a bundle of sticks. Your task is to break each stick into two pieces.

The sons accept the task, eager to win the reward.

The one who finishes first will receive a special reward.”

They break the sticks easily but start arguing again.

Excited about the reward, the sons agreed and received their bundles of ten sticks each.

The father stops the fight and says the challenge continues.

They quickly began breaking the sticks, but as soon as they finished, they started arguing again.

Father asks them to break the sticks as a whole bundle.

The old man intervened and said, “My dear sons, the game is not over yet.

The sons try hard but cannot break the bundle of sticks.

I will give you another bundle of sticks, but this time, you have to break them together as a bundle, not individually.”

Disappointed, they tell their father they couldn’t break it.

The sons accepted the challenge and tried their best to break the bundle of sticks, but no matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t break it.

The father teaches that unity makes them strong.

Disappointed, they returned to their father and told him they had failed.

He says sticks break one by one but not as a bundle.

The old man smiled and said, “Do you see? Breaking each stick individually was easy for you, but breaking them together as a bundle was impossible.

The father asks his sons to stop fighting and stay united.

The lesson here is that when you stay united, no one can harm you. But if you keep fighting and quarreling, anyone can defeat you easily.”

The three sons finally understand the power of unity.

The old man then pleaded with his sons to stay united.

The sons promise they will stay united from now on.

Finally, the three sons understood the power of unity and promised their father that they would always stay together.
