The Monkey and The Wedge – A moral story for kids.

Carpenters work near a large banyan tree.
Once, a group of carpenters was building a house near a banyan tree.

They leave their tools at the site during lunch.
During their lunch break, they left their tools and materials at the construction site.

Monkeys begin playing with the carpenters’ tools.
At that time, a group of monkeys arrived and began playing with the tools and materials.

A monkey finds a wooden log with a wedge inside.
One curious monkey found a big log of wood with a wedge inserted into it. A carpenter had been sawing the log and had put the wedge there to keep the slit open.

The monkey sits inside the slit and pulls the wedge.
The monkey sat inside the opening and tried to pull the wedge out.

It loosens the wedge without knowing the danger.
After a lot of effort, it managed to loosen and remove the wedge.

The log snaps shut and traps the monkey.
But the moment the wedge came out, the slit closed tightly, trapping the monkey and causing it a serious injury.

The monkey is badly hurt and stuck inside the log.
The poor monkey couldn’t move and was stuck there because of its wounds.

Moral: Don’t interfere in others’ work.
Moral: Interfering in other people’s work or business can cause more harm than good.
This story reminds children to stay cautious and avoid interfering in others’ tasks. Curiosity is good, but acting without understanding can lead to harm. Always think before you act.
