Every night, a tiny magical creature named Snuzzle flew across the sky with a glowing bag full of bedtime hugs. He delivered them to kids who needed comfort while they slept.
Snuzzle didn’t need a map—his hugs wiggled and glowed, showing him where to go.
But one cold winter night, something went wrong.
“Oh no!” Snuzzle gasped. “One hug is missing!”
He searched everywhere—under beds, behind pillows, even inside socks. Then he sniffed the air. His nose could smell lost hugs like cookies.
Soon, he found the hug hopping near a park bench.
“I’m sorry,” the hug said sadly. “I got scared. People say the girl I was meant for, Lila, doesn’t deserve hugs.”
Snuzzle smiled gently. “Hugs aren’t only for happy people. Lila is hurting inside. That’s why she needs you.”
The hug thought for a moment… then floated back into Snuzzle’s bag.
Snuzzle flew to Lila’s window and placed a hug on her chest. Her room glowed, and she smiled in her sleep.
The next morning, Lila felt a little lighter. She even shared her pencils and said, “Thank you.”
That night, Snuzzle flew on, his bag full and his heart warm—because even lost hugs can find their way home.
