  2. Exclamatory sentences – These sentences are used to convey strong emotions. Exclamatory sentences end with the exclamation mark. Ex: What an unbelievable goal!
  3. Imperative sentences – Imperative sentences are sentences that are used to make a plea or give a command. Ex: Please join us at the party tommorow.
  4. Interrogative sentences – Interrogative sentences are used to ask a question. These sentences always end with a question mark. Ex: Are you listening?

One can see how important it is to use the right punctuation marks. It is essential to use the correct punctuation marks while writing. Using punctuation helps the reader understand the idea that one wants to convey clearly. One can’t overlook the use of wrong punctuation marks which leaves a long-lasting impression on the reader’s mind. These indicate the pauses and bring emphasis on certain ideas that are written in the text.
