While everyone can write a sentence, it is not easy to define what it is. It is a set of words that is complete in meaning. It conveys a statement, question, exclamation, idea, thought, or command. There are several different types of sentences. It can be imperative, declarative, interrogative, or exclamatory. Based on the idea that we want to convey, we use one of these four types of sentences to do so. Imperative sentences are sentences that are used to make a plea or give a command. Thus, any statement that is a plea, request, or command is an imperative sentence. Such sentences end with a full stop or period (.)
