Popsicle Stick Christmas Crafts for Kids

1. POPSICLE STICKS WALL HANGING

Materials Required:

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Paint
  • Star punch
  • Decorative stones
  • Glue
  • Yarn or thread
  • Scissor

Procedure:

  1. Take a popsicle stick and paint it brown.
  2. Take the other five sticks and cut them in different lengths (for making a rectangle), from both ends.
  3. Paint them in different colors.
  4. Put the brown stick vertical and glue the other five sticks on it horizontally by leaving some spaces between them (Place the sticks in ascending order).
  5. Place the decorative stones on sticks.
  6. As shown in the picture above.
  7. Use star punch to punch the colored paper and glue them.
  8. Attach yarn or thread at the back of the brown stick making a loop.
  9. Make other by using the same procedure.

2. POPSICLE STICKS SOLDIERS CRAFT

This craft is so cute and beautiful. Your kids will have a lot of fun.

Materials Required:

  • Popsicle sticks or ice cream sticks
  • Paint
  • Black marker
  • Glue

Procedure:

  1. Take five popsicle sticks for each soldier. Color the one end of each stick with skin color.
  2. Mark the lines to make the hands and face of soldiers.
  3. Then color the remaining parts of the sticks with red paint.
  4. Paint two sticks out of five with blue paint, for pants. Use long sticks for this.
  5. Then paint the shoes and hats, black.
  6. Glue the body and arms together by gluing a piece of paper at the back.
  7. Now, glue the legs.
  8. Use golden paint and a thin paintbrush to design the dress.
  9. Use the black marker to draw face parts, i.e. Eyes and mouth.

How pretty they are! Their legs give them a proud look.

3. CHRISTMAS CRAFT BY POPSICLE STICKS

Making a Christmas decor or ornament.

Materials Required:

  • Popsicle sticks (long and small)
  • Twine (strong thread)
  • Small artificial plants
  • Glue gun
  • Anklet bells

Procedure:

  1. Take two long popsicle sticks and paint them with brown paint.
  2. Take the other five small sticks and paint them, white color.
  3. Put the long sticks by on its side. Take a paper, and glue four white sticks horizontally on it.
  4. Then glue all the sticks together onto the long sticks.
  5. As shown in the picture.
  6. Get the left white stick and glue it above the four white sticks as shown above.
  7. Attach the anklet bells in a thread and tie them on the upper stick.
  8. Take the twine, and glue the ends of the twine, with the back ends of a single stick forming a loop.

4. POPSICLE STICK HOME CRAFT

Make this home craft ornament on this occasion of Christmas. It is colorful and cheering.

Materials Required:

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Paint
  • Decorating ornaments
  • Colored papers
  • Glue
  • Scissor

Procedure:

  1. Take the popsicle sticks and paint them with brown paint. Let them dry.
  2. Arrange these sticks together vertically, then glue three sticks horizontally at the back of these to hold them.
  3. Take three sticks to make the roof of the house. For this take one as the one-third, one as half, and one with full length.
  4. Glue these horizontally in decreasing order from bottom to top, above the vertical ones of the house.
  5. Take two sticks again and glue them on the roof in the shape of making a triangle.
  6. Use colored paper to cut out the small circles, and glue them on the triangle-shaped sticks, on the roof.

5. SANTA HOME CRAFT BY POPSICLE STICK

Decorating crafts by using decor materials. Craft Santa’s house by using the given materials and following the procedure.

Materials Required:

  • Popsicle sticks
  • Paint
  • Cotton
  • Glue
  • Yarn or threads
  • Decorative stones
  • Lace
  • Ribbon

Procedure:

  1. Take 10-20 popsicle sticks and paint them with brown paint. Let them dry.
  2. Take 10 sticks and place them vertically together on a flat surface. Use two unpainted sticks to glue on the back of painted sticks to hold them.
  3. Now, take another seven to eight sticks, and start gluing them horizontally above the vertical ones. Before this, cut them from the larger to a smaller size to make the roof of the house.
  4. Take another unpainted stick and glue it vertically at the back of horizontal ones to hold them.
  5. Get the ribbon and lace, and glue them together at the portion where the roof and lower part of the house meet.
  6. Now take two sticks and paint them white. Glue them on the roof at each side.
  7. Use cotton to glue the base of the house. Make two small balls of cotton, and glue them both at the corners of the house.
  8. Now, take the thread or yarn and glue it in a manner to make the door of the house. Paint the inner portion white. You can also use cotton or white paper to give the door white color.
  9. At last glue all your decorative stones and other materials on the house in a way you like.

6. POPSICLE STICK NATIVITY CRAFT

Materials Required:

  • Glitter foam
  • Ruler
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Small wooden bead
  • Blue yarn
  • Raffia for the straw
  • Paint
  • Black marker
  • Glue

Procedure:

  1. Cut a rectangle from a foam sheet.
  2. Glue the small popsicle sticks in an x shape, at the middle of the lower portion.
  3. Add the strips of raffia on the manger (x shaped sticks).
  4. Glue the mini bead to the clothespin. Glue one end of the yarn to the top of the clothespin.
  5. Wrap the yarn around the clothespin and glue it.
  6. Draw the eyes by using the black marker.
  7. Paint popsicle sticks with brown.
  8. Glue four popsicle sticks, in the shape of the home, on a rectangular foam sheet.
  9. Leave the base.
  10. Trim out the extra sheet.
  11. Glue the bead on the x shaped sticks.
  12. Paste a star at the top of the roof.
  13. Make a hole on the top of the foam to hang it.

7. BLUE SNOWFLAKES FOR CHRISTMAS

Have you ever tried snowflakes? If not! Then try this craft on the occasion of Christmas.

Materials Required:

  • Wooden long sticks
  • Paint
  • Yarn
  • Decorative stones
  • Glue

Procedure:

  1. Take the three wooden sticks and paint them blue or any color that you want.
  2. Then glue them in a criss-cross manner.
  3. You will end up with six arms to decorate. Now, use yarn.
  4. Start by weaving the yarn over and under, around the snowflake. Leave some spaces between them for an airy and delicate look.
  5. Tie the yarn when weaving completes.
