Once there lived two ministers, Mr. Just and Mr. Decepto.
Mr. Decepto was envious of Mr. Just’s wealth.
So, he devised a plan to get all the wealth from Mr. Just.
Mr. Decepto said to Mr. Just, “My dear friend, did you hear about the theft in our neighbourhood?
I don’t think it is wise enough to keep our money and jewels in our houses!”
Hearing this, Mr. Just got worried. He asked for some suggestions from Mr. Decepto.
Mr. Decepto was more than happy to manipulate his friend.
He said, “ Let’s take all our wealth and hide it in the woods away from any thieves and goons!
No one would know anything except you and me! What say?”
The convincing tone of Mr. Decepto ensured that Mr. Just had a foolproof plan. So, he agreed to do so.
He took all his wealth along with Mr. Decepto, who took his share as well, to the forest.
There beside a tree, the two dug up a huge pit in which they stuffed their shares of wealth and closed it with mud again.
Then they returned to their respective homes.
But at night, when Mr. Just was sleeping without a wrinkle of doubt.
Mr. Decepto snuck out of his house to complete his sinister plan.
He went to the spot where the money was hidden.
He dug up the pit and took all the money with him to his house.
The next day, he went to Mr. Judy’s house and said, “Will you please come with me to the pit? I need some money urgently for some reason.”
The next day, he went to Mr. Judy’s house and said, “Will you please come with me to the pit?
“I need some money urgently for some reason.”
Mr. Just didn’t hesitate to go along with his friend. There, they dug up the pit again.
He accused Mr. Just of theft. But Mr. Just was unmoved. He swore that he didn’t steal anything.
Their argument took an ugly turn and things had to be dragged to the court.
In the court, the judge was perplexed by the whole situation.
As the guards found nothing in the house of Mr. Just.
So, to convince the judge, Mr. Decepto said he would like to present the god of Nature as a witness.
The judge agreed and said that the next hearing will take place in the forest near the infamous pit.
Mr. Decepto then went to his father and said, “Dear father, I am the actual culprit behind all of this. But please save me from this!
You just have to hide inside the hollow tree trunk beside the pit and say,
“Mr. Just is the thief!” That’s it! Please, father, help me out!”
Decepto’s father was very hesitant to help his son. But he agreed to help, blinded by the love for his only son.
The next day, as planned, the father hid inside the hollow trunk of the tree and waited for the judge and others to come.
Then, when the court was in session, he spoke from the trunk in an elevated voice,
“Mr. Just is the thief who stole everything!”
While others were fascinated by the whole situation, Mr. Just did something unexpected!
He went behind the tree and set it on fire.
And because of this the father came out of the tree running for his life.
Then he confessed in front of everyone and explained his son’s trickery.
The guards arrested Mr. Decepto, and he lost everything.
Moral: Cheating may win for a while, but truth always wins.
In the end, the truth always finds a way to shine through, no matter how cleverly lies are hidden. “Who’s The Liar” reminds us that honesty builds trust, while deception leads to downfall. It teaches that truth may hurt for a moment, but lies damage forever. Choose truth, always.
