Basic Algebra with Fractions Worksheet For Grade 5

Basic Algebra with Fractions Worksheet For Grade 5

Kids! Welcome to the fraction exercise; in this we will learn how to solve fractions and find the values. Above, there are a total of seven fraction queries that need to be performed. It is as simple as we have performed above. Let’s understand this exercise through an example: 2/4 + k/4 = 5. So the first step is to simplify the fraction. We can write 2/4 = 1/4. Now the new equation is 1/4 + k/4 = 5. Now take L.C.M and solve the first part: 1/4 + k/4. So the first part after solving will be k/4. Now combine both, k/4 = 5. Shift 4, and the answer will be k = 5 x 4. k = 20. So the final value of k is 20. This fraction concept will help kids build their logical reasoning.

= m = 7 + 7
= m = 14

A two-sided equation is a mathematical sentence where two expressions are equal, and it reads like one equation. Like A = B. The left and the right are the two sides of the equation, each of which has variables, constants, and mathematical operations on them. This exercise is a little bit harder than the previous one, but there is no need to worry about it; if kids know the process, they can solve even harder problems. It will sharpen their mind and prepare them for their further grades.

This exercise is based on the equality of variables. Above, we have a total of six equations in which we need to show variables equal to each other. Like x = y. This equation states that the value of y is equal to the value of x. And for numbers 4 = 10. This shows that 4 is equal to 10 or 10 is equal to 4. So basically we have to show the relationship between variables and numbers. This will help kids in various real-life applications like budgeting, planning, and understanding patterns.

  • 3     =   4
  • 5     =   6
  • 7     =   8
  • 9     =   10

Equation: n= m + 1

In this exercise, we need to find out the equations according to the variable. Above,  there are a total of four tables and in each table, first we need to find out the missing number and then fill in the blank box. After completing the table, now we need to find out the equation. For an equation, kids need to assume a value that should justify the equation. As for Table One, the missing values are 13 and 11. Now we need to assume a number for our equation, which must justify it. n = 16 -m. Here we have assumed 16. we can check this equation by putting the values of m. If we are getting values of n, which means we have the correct equation.
