Rounding Numbers Worksheet For Grade 5
Rounding number is a mathematical concept that simplifies numbers by putting their values to their nearest. When rounding, you decide if the number stays the same, increases, or decreases (such as the nearest 10, 100, or decimal place). Below, we have three mixed rounding exercises that need to be performed. This worksheet is designed for 5th graders to develop their critical thinking and help them improve their problem-solving skills. We hope kids will like our worksheet.

This mixed rounding concept will encourage kids to solve mathematic equations fast and in a fun way. In this exercise, there are a total of sixteen queries and kids need to round the number of the accuracy of the underlined digit. To solve this exercise they need to follow some rules, first, they need to check the underlined digit, and then check its right digit, if the digit is greater than 5, that means we have to perform a round-up otherwise round-down-. Let’s take an example: 8,256. As you can see the underlined number is 2, now check its right digit (5), which is equal to five, so as per the rule we have to perform a round-up. So the rounding value for 8,256 will be 8,300.
1. 9,386 – 9,390
2. 17,421 – 20,000

14. 7,385 – 7,390
15. 63,467 – 60,000
16. 94,721 – 95,000
Now the numbers are a little bit higher, but there is no need to worry about it. If you know the process, you can solve any range of numbers. Solving these exercises will not only help kids in their studies but also their real-life scenarios. It will help them to make decisions as per their situation. We want kids to move forward in their future and we assume kids will solve this exercise, without any help. To solve this exercise, we have to follow the same rules that we have done above, if still kids have some doubts they can check our rounding worksheet where all the concepts are explained in detail.

We hope our concept of rounding numbers will work for kids, and help them build confidence. By solving this exercise, they have a better understanding of how numbers are arranged by learning to round to the closest ten, hundred, or thousand. We believe kids will perform this exercise quickly and they are excited to solve more queries.
Rounding is the most important phase in calculating, helping kids to perform basic calculations quickly. This concept will also help them in their day-to-day life. Planning time or going shopping are two real-world scenarios where this is helpful. We are very happy to know that kids have understood our rounding concept and now they are excited to solve more rounding queries. Kids we have different rounding exercises for grades 4th, 5th, and 6th available on our page, so you can visit there and find more rounding exercises.
