Once upon a time, there was a huge banyan tree where a group of cranes lived happily.
Unfortunately, a snake lived in a small hole nearby.
Whenever the cranes left their nest in search of food, the snake would climb the long branches of the tree and eat the helpless babies of the cranes.
The cranes soon discovered the reason for the deaths of their babies.
But what could they do? The poor cranes were helpless.
They felt powerless and started crying for help.
A crab heard their pitiful cries and asked them, ‘Hey, what happened?’ Why are you all so sad?
The crane explained everything and asked the crab for help.
The crab thought, “These cranes have always been my enemies……
Always bothering me. Why should I help them? I should give them the wrong advice!”
Therefore, he told them to scatter the pieces of meat from the mongoose’s burrow to the banyan tree.
He assured them that the mongoose would surely kill the snake.
The innocent cranes agreed and started following the crab’s instructions.
But unfortunately, the mongoose not only killed the snake but also killed all the cranes.
The crab has taken revenge on the cranes, as he had planned.
The solution to the problem should not be worse than the problem itself.
