Once upon a time, on a sunny day, a rabbit was happily hopping around in a grassy meadow in the forest.
Little did he know that a lion was hiding in nearby bushes, watching him closely with hunger in his eyes.
The lion was waiting for the perfect moment to catch the rabbit and satisfy his hunger.
His mouth watered at the thought of the rabbit’s tender meat.
Suddenly, when the rabbit came near a bush, the lion couldn’t resist anymore. He lunged forward, trying to pounce on the rabbit.
But the clever rabbit was quick and managed to dodge the lion’s attack. He hopped away as fast as his little legs could carry him.
But, the mighty lion didn’t give up. He chased after the rabbit, his powerful strides quickly closing the gap between them.
Soon enough, the lion’s big paws reached out and grabbed the little rabbit.
The rabbit thought “This is it! This is how my life ends!” and tears welled up in his eyes.
But just as the lion was about to end the rabbit’s life, he noticed a fawn lurking nearby.
Greedily, the lion’s eyes were drawn to the fawn, thinking that it would be a bigger and better meal than the little rabbit.
So, he released the rabbit, giving him another chance to live, and swiftly turned his attention towards the fawn.
The fawn, sensing danger, immediately started running as fast as possible.
The lion, however, was already tired from his previous chase.
He couldn’t match the speed of the fawn and soon realized he had lost his chance to catch a meal due to his greed.
And so, the greedy lion lost both the rabbit and the fawn because he let his desire for more overpower his senses.
