So to convert normal to expended form, we have to multiply the number by 1 and 0.1 according to their place values. Let’s understand through an example: 2.37. So the first step is to solve the number before the decimal by multiplying by 1 and multiplying by 0.1 after the decimal. After calculating we need to add both parts. Now check if the calculation is equal to the given number which means we got the correct answer. So the final expanded answer is 2 x 1 + 3 x 0.1 + 7 x 0.01.

In this exercise, we have the same total of nine queries with different numbers, but the process will be the same. We need to multiply both numbers after decimal and before according to their place values and then add both parts. Let’s understand through an example: 82,174.63. Now the first step is to multiply numbers before decimal according to their placing value. As we can see 8 is in ten thousand, 2 is in thousand, and the rest will be accordingly. And now multiply after decimal so the 3 is in ones. The final expanded form is 8 x 10000 + 2 x 1000 + 1 x 100 + 7 x 10 + 4 x 1 + 3 x 0.1
