Painting is loved by everyone on this planet, especially children. It is just the idea of those vivid colours on our hands that appeals us. But painting seems to be much easier than it actually is. So here 4 cool and easy techniques that’ll make painting so much more fun.

BUBBLE WRAP PAINTING
Things you’ll need:
- Bubble wrap
- A4 size paper
- Pencil
- Tube paint
- Paint tray
- Scissor
Steps:
- Grab one A4 size paper and a pencil and try to draw a simple figure like a fish or a flower.
- After drawing, grab the paint tray and drop a separate paint in each one of them. Add some water to each paint and mix it well.
- Now grab a pair of scissors and the bubble wrap and cut it in 5 to 6 pieces of similar size (approx. 15×20 cm)
- Now take on bubble wrap and dip it onto the paint ( use only one bubble wrap for one colour). After dipping the bubble wrap, start gently pressing the painted side of bubble wrap onto your drawing.
- Similarly start using other colours as well and press them onto your drawing. Make your painting colourful. Slowly you’ll notice a beautiful masterpiece in front of your eyes. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after you finish painting.
SPONGE PAINTING
Things you’ll need :
- Sponges
- Scissors
- Paints
- A4 size paper
STEPS:
- Before painting, decide what you want to create out of sponge painting. You can create all different kinds of colourful paintings with the help of sponge like butterflies, rainbow, or scenery and so on.
- If you want to paint a butterfly, take a regular sponge and a rubber band and tie the middle section of the sponge with the help of that. Now drop significant amount of paint on the sponge on both the sections (choose the colours you want your butterfly to be in). Now press the sponge against an A4 size paper. You’ll notice a butterfly shaped figure on the paper. Now take a brush a paint the details like the body of the butterfly and it antennas.
- If you want to create a rainbow using sponge, then follow the given directions. Take a regular sponge and a marker and draw seven identical sections on the sponge. Now drop paint of different colour on each section of the sponge. Try to add some water to make the paint even. Then, take an A4 size paper and press the sponge against the paper in slow curvy motion, in such a way that it forms a rainbow.
COTTON SWABS PAINTING
Things you’ll need:
- Cotton buds
- Paints
- Rubber bands
- A4 size paper
- Paint tray
STEPS:
- First grab a handful of Colton buds and tie them together using a rubber band. Make sure the knot is tight. Similarly make 2-3 bundles of cotton buds.
- Now grab your paint tray and add your paints. Mix small amount of water for smooth paint.
- Then take a blank paper and draw a simple figure like a flow or a leaf.
- Now dip the each bundle of cotton bud separately into different coloured paint and press it gently on your drawn figure.
- Try making it more colourful by drawing the details using a paint brush.
LEAF PAINTING
Things you’ll need:
- Different shaped leaves
- Disposable plates
- Paints
- A4 size paper
Steps:
- Collect different shapes and sizes of leaves from your neighbourhood. Make sure the leaves are not dry or torn.
- Now grab 4-5 disposable plates and drop a different coloured paint in each plate. Add some water and mix it well.
- Now take a leaf and dip it into the paint onto the plate. Make sure to use only one colour on each leaf.
- Now gently press the painted area of the leaves onto the paper and hold it for a couple of minutes. Then take of the leaf and let the paint dry.
- You can place the leaves in different positions , so as to give it more of a colourful effect. This way you can even create your own wall painting.
