Minibeasts Coloring and Writing Book

Do you remember the days, back when you were young? When you have just started studying, what was your favorite exercise that your parents or teachers forced you to do? I don’t know about you but for me, it was to fill color in any other thing I saw. Generally, coloring is one of the most loved exercises by young kids. You’ll often see kids scribbling on sheets of paper or the wall before or as soon as they start holding pencils in their hands. It is a fun activity that must be encouraged from a young age since it helps develop hand dexterity and the muscle memory required for children to learn how to write and paint. It also gives them a mode of expression and allows them to expand their creativity.

Download the sheets, print, and provide these to your kids. If you are to use these in kindergartens ask the students to write their name on the front page in the space provided.

The first sheet in the writing book is of a mosquito. Make sure that the kid colors the picture properly and then ask him to write a few facts about these. If he can’t, be sure to instruct him with some common facts regarding the creatures.

The second sheet is of a spider. Many kids are afraid of these eight-legged creatures.

This sheet is of a butterfly. Ask kids to color these with beautiful colors. Make sure they color within the lines. While it is a fun activity, it is important to do it correctly.

Instruct the kids to color the picture of this dragonfly and write some facts about this minibeast.

In the next sheet, the image is that of one of the most common minibeast. A fly or a housefly is a ubiquitous creature found near our favorite delicacies.

This sheet consists of the image of a beetle. Here, the students have to color the image of the ladybug and then write a few lines on it.
