- A neuron has three different parts: axon, dendrites and nucleus. Space between axon and dendrites is called a synapse. Synapse assist to exchange electromagnetic signals between neurons. Drug interfere with the way neuron sending, receiving or processing information and it is occurring using neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters that modulates your mood.
- Drugs like marijuana and heroin have a similar structure to chemical messengers that are neurotransmitters. These drugs can make fool the brain’s receptors and activate nerve cells to send the incorrect message.
- Morphine is one painkiller, that increases the level of serotonin and noradrenaline. It helps to regulate the alertness, energy.
Next, amphetamine or cocaine. It is an illegal drug that you listen in news headlines. However, the purpose behind to tell you is, cocaine also affect badly. It prevents normal cycling of brain chemicals. It can cause to release natural neurotransmitters abnormally.
For euphoria, dopamine is responsible and dopamine is a neurotransmitter. Euphoria gives the experience of pleasure, satisfaction, excitement, other activities like listening to music, laughing, dancing etc.
